NO PURCHASE OR OBLIGATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR CLAIM A PRIZE. NON-PURCHASE ENTRIES AND PURCHASE ENTRIES HAVE AN EQUAL CHANCE OF WINNING.

  1. ELIGIBILITY. The 2008 Visa Reloadable Prepaid Cards Tax Refund Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia, eighteen (18) years of age and older as of January 1, 2008. Employees of Visa U.S.A. Inc. ("Sponsor"), its successors and assigns, Visa International Service Association, its successors and assigns, their respective Member financial institutions, and all their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, authorized third party issuers of Reloadable Prepaid Cards, prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies of Visa U.S.A. Inc., including Marden-Kane, Inc. and its affiliates, the Internal Revenue Service, and the immediate families (spouse, and parents, children and siblings, and their respective spouses regardless of where they live) and individuals living in the households of the above, whether related or not, are not eligible to enter or win a prize. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  2. TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes begins January 1, 2008, and ends on April 15, 2008 ("Promotional Period"). Any eligible consumer who files his/her 2007 Federal tax return during the Promotional Period and who is entitled to and authorizes his/her Federal tax refund or refund anticipation loan to be deposited directly to their Visa® Reloadable Prepaid card ("Card") will automatically receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry in the "The 2008 Visa Reloadable Prepaid Cards Tax Refund Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes"). To be eligible for automatic entry, your Card issuer must have agreed to participate in this promotion with Visa, otherwise you will have to enter via the 3"x5" mail-in method described below. For a list of participating Card issuers, call toll free 1-877-276-6207, or call your Card issuer or the customer service number on the back of your card. All federal tax returns must be filed and postmarked no later than April15, 2008. To authorize the direct deposit to your Card, complete the refund section on the form that you are using to file your Federal tax return (1040: Page 2, line 74a-74d, 1040A: Page 2, line 45a-45d or 1040EZ: Page 1, line 12a-12d) by indicating your Card account number and your Card's issuing bank's routing number. If you do not know your Card's issuing bank's routing number, call your Card's issuing bank or the customer service number on the back of your card to obtain the Card's issuing bank routing number. Note: If you are filing a joint tax return, please check with your issuing bank if they will permit a joint tax return refund to be deposited to an individual account. If not, you will have to enter via the 3"x5" mail-in method described below. Only deposits made to your Card no later than June 16, 2008 are eligible for automatic entry. Entrants should allow sufficient time for the Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") to review and process your tax return; therefore, the Sponsor does not accept any responsibility if the IRS does not issue you your refund in time to be credited to your account by June 16, 2008. Only one entry per person, per filed Federal tax return, will be accepted. A qualified transaction is a Federal tax refund or refund anticipation loan which is deposited directly to an entrant's Visa® Reloadable Prepaid card. All qualifying transactions will be determined at the sole discretion of Visa and its participating Card issuers.

    To enter without purchase or obligation, on a 3" x 5" card hand print your name, complete address, city, state and zip code, day and evening telephone number and the words The 2008 Visa Reloadable Prepaid Cards Tax Refund Sweepstakes and mail in a #10 envelope, hand-printed to: The 2008 Visa Reloadable Prepaid Cards Tax Refund Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 4013, Grand Rapids, MN 55730-4013. Mail-in entries must be postmarked no later than April 15, 2008 and received no later than April 22, 2008. Only one entry per person will be accepted. No mechanical reproductions permitted. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
  3. DRAWING: On or about July 1, 2008 a random drawing from among all eligible entries received throughout the entire Promotional Period (qualified transactions & mail-ins) will be conducted under the direction of Marden-Kane, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.
  4. ESTIMATED ODDS: The estimated odds of winning are 1:150,000; however, the actual odds of winning will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotional Period.
  5. PRIZE: One (1) Grand Prize: The winner will receive a check and/or credit to their Card for $15,000. Retail Value $15,000. If a mail-in winner is selected as winner, he/she will receive a check for $15,000 made payable to the person named on the 3"x5" card. No prize substitutions or transfers of prizes permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable or greater value. Winner is responsible for the payment of taxes on the prize and for any other expenses not specifically described above. Sponsor, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to request that a Cardholder winner submit proof that his/her refund was loaded onto his/her card by submitting a photocopy of the refund section on the form of his/her 2007 Federal tax return (1040: Page 2, line 74a-74d, 1040A: Page 2, line 45a-45d or 1040EZ: Page 1, line 12a-12d). A non-purchase winner will not need to submit this information.
  6. WINNER NOTIFICATION The potential winner will be notified by USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation and will be required to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release, where legal, a Publicity Release, and IRS Form W-9, all of which must be returned within 14-days from prize notification date or the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate potential winner. In the event of non-compliance with these official rules or if the prize or prize notification is unclaimed or returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. If the prize is won by a person who is not of the legal age of majority in the state of residence ("minor"), the required documents must be confirmed and signed by winner's parent or legal guardian. By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants, or, if minors, their parents or legal guardians, agree to the use by Sponsor and its designees of their names and photographs/likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes for this and similar promotions, worldwide, and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised (including and without limitation, the Internet) without additional compensation, notification or permission, except where prohibited by law. Upon request, winner agrees to consent to such in writing.
  7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants, or, if minors, their parents or legal guardians, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless, Visa U.S.A. Inc., Visa International Service Association, and their respective Member financial institutions, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, other third party issuers of Visa Reloadable Prepaid cards, prize suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies of Visa U.S.A. Inc., Marden-Kane, Inc., and all its affiliates, and each of their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and employees (collectively, "Releasees") from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions and any liability of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from or arising in connection with the participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or nonuse of the prize (including, without limitation, any travel or travel-related activity thereto) that may be awarded. This Sweepstakes and these Official Rules shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California without regard to its principles of conflicts of law. Jurisdiction and venue shall be solely within the State of California. Releasees are not responsible for technical, computer, mechanical, printing, typographical, human or other errors relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries and tax returns by the IRS or in any Sweepstakes related material, the announcement of the prize; or for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, inaccurate, undelivered, delayed or illegible entries, or postage-due entries or mail; or for electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction or error, entries which fail to enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly, or are lost for any reason including computer, telephone, or paper transfer or human or other error. If in the Sponsor's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if computer viruses, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise, corrupt, or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, the Sponsor in its sole discretion reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and/or void any entries submitted fraudulently, to modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, or to terminate the Sweepstakes and conduct a random drawing and award the prize using all eligible non-suspect entries received as of the termination date. As a condition of entering the Sweepstakes, entrant or, if a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian, agrees that a) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, b) all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or the prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and c) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred and in no event shall entrant be entitled to receive attorneys' fees or other legal costs. Sponsor reserves the right to modify prize award procedures.
  8. WHO WON?: For the name of the winner (available after July 31, 2008), mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: The 2008 Visa Reloadable Prepaid Cards Tax Refund Sweepstakes Winner, P.O. Box 714, Sayreville, NJ 08871-0714. Requests must be received no later than April 30, 2008.
